A view of the Eiffel Tower and La Defense in Paris, France. I read the notoriously disliked Montparnasse tower had a great observatory to see the city at night. I was staying near by and decided to walk to the tower to check it out. When I arrived I found the entrance was shuttered and the tower appeared to be undergoing renovations. As I turned away disappointed, a young man sitting nearby pointed to a side entrance that I would have otherwise missed. I made my way up to the observatory and was able to catch the fading sunset as the city of lights lit up below.
