Birds as Friends

A long break from my last post. I visited Shanghai and then made a quick stop in Dazhai where I saw some beautiful rice terraces. A few days ago I traveled south to Xingping where the Li River runs through a sea of granite karsts. Here is a picture of a fisherman on the river.

Tale of Two Cities

The shot above shows an amusement park in Dandong, China. It was busy and bright when I visited during the night.

Across the Yalu river is the city of Sinuiju, North Korea. It too has a Ferris wheel. Unlike the one in Dandog, it is quiet, motionless and unused.

A comparison shot shows the stark contrast of the two cities.
